Iyengar yoga involves the practice of hatha poses / asanas. Each class typically consists of standing poses, seated poses, back bends, twists, forward bends and inversions. Props such as bolsters, bricks, belts and blankets are often used to help each individual practice safely with correct posture and alignment.
Rhonda has been a qualified Iyengar yoga teacher since 2014. She passed the Junior Intermediate 1 assessment in April 2018 which allows her to teach more advanced poses. She regularly attends weekend workshops in Dublin and Cork provided by visiting senior teachers such as Penny Chaplin, Eyal Shifroni, Zubin Zarthoshtimamesh and Uday Bhosale. She continues to attend teacher training weekends in Dublin with Ireland’s most senior Iyengar teacher Aisling Guirke to keep up her skills and progress as well as maintaining a regular home practice.
Rhonda’s focus is that every class is supportive, energising, rejuvenating and fun! The classes are suitable for beginners and more experienced students as she customises each class for the group of individuals who are attending. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Rhonda for further information or to book a class at: 087 950 6951 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
